What We Do

We staff the Discovery Centre and cafe and operate a Valley-wide

Warden Service, working with Sussex Police and the

Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner.

We run conservation projects to help local schools access the Valley

and learn about its wildlife, to plant trees and hedge habitats.

We also monitor the annual winter flood, the footpaths and woodlands,

reedbeds, marshes, water-meadows, fens, cliffs and beaches and

record their wildlife for later scientific identification.

Although our charity's remit covers the whole of Combe Valley,

we also liaise with the Combe Haven Countryside Park Community

Interest Company and their managing agents Groundwork,

local councils, Sussex Wildlife Trust and other interested organisations

and statutory bodies.

We welcome members and volunteers to help us safeguard the

environment by clearing pollution and keeping paths open.
