Recent wildlife visitors are the White Stork, Great White Egret, Egyptian Geese - and Chrysops relictus - the bi-lobed Deer Fly discovered at Crowhurst Lake - out of normal range. The rare Willow Emerald damselfly is now breeding in the Valley.

We now have constant hunting patrols by the Marsh Harrier

and feeding visits by the rare Great White Egret.
